Our handmade jewellery is designed to last but it is delicate and should be treated as such. The following is a simple guide to help you jewellery live its best (and lengthiest) life.
Storing your jewellery: Many of our pieces are made with real shells and baroque pearls which are delicate in nature. Protect your jewellery by individually storing each piece in a pouch it is shipped with or soft material to help avoid breakage, scratching or tangling. Always pack your jewellery with care.
Protect Your Jewellery: Protect your treasures by avoiding extreme temperatures, banging/ dropping on hard surfaces, scratches and harsh chemicals to minimize damage or wear. Care should always be taken when wearing delicate, natural materials.
Making your metals last: We use sterling silver and gold filled chains/ finding which are naturally durable but they will last longer if treated like the beautiful treasures they are. We recommend removing your jewellery when bathing/ showering in freshwater, remove before frolicking in the ocean and keep them far away from chlorinated water. Avoid spraying perfumes or applying creams directly to the jewellery. Even if you’re sure your jewellery hasn’t been exposed to any of the aforementioned substances, it has been in contact with your skin—which does perspire. While it's ok if you fall asleep in your jewellery now and again... I strongly recommend trying not to as your body and hair is full of oils that can tarnish your pieces.
